1.1.1. Product Description
The SlantRange system will detect all growing vegetation. SlantRange algorithms then segment differing vegetation classes so crop performance can be assessed independently of any weed growth. This technique corrects a commonly understood error source in traditional processing methods which group all vegetation signals together.
Those vegetation signatures that are not part of the crop class are presented in a Weed Density data layer. Figure 7 shows an example of this segmentation technique with a false-color image at left and segmentation results at right (green = crop, red = weed).
